Ever since the outbreak of Coronavirus which first started in china and now it’s all over the countries of the world, life has taken another dimension, life has not been the way it used to cause as we all have it, Coronavirus has affected almost everything around us, it affected the Church, Mosque, Schools, Sports, and even social gathering.
Let’s take a look at life before the Coronavirus outbreak.
We used to see people share love in so many places like the stadium, Church, Mosque, and even Collages but today we’ve been advised to avoid those places in order to stay safe and free from the corona Virus.
Today, Schools have been closed down, sports league has been canceled and many people have been working from home all cause of the change coronavirus brought to us.
On the 30th of March, President Muhammadu Buhari gave out new orders just in order to control the fast spread of the coronavirus, he ordered for the closure of every border leading to each and every state in Nigerian and also ordered that no market should be open for at least 2 weeks, No more social gathering like Marriage ceremonies, Burial ceremonies, House parties, football games and we should maintain social distancing. So how are you spending your quarantine period…?
So many questions have been popping up lately and we tend to give a good response here.
What is Social Distancing?
It’s no doubt that many of us didn’t even understand the term “Social Distancing” but I will explain it here
Social distancing simply means the idea to maintain distance between you and other people at least 1mtr away from others.
How long should we practice social distancing?
For as long as we still have some cases of this coronavirus, we will continue to practice social distancing and also quarantine.
What is quarantine?
A state, period, or place of isolation in which people or animals that have arrived from elsewhere or been exposed to the infectious or contagious disease are placed.
Having answered all these questions, let’s see the effect of coronavirus to our life.
It’s no doubt that this virus has really affected our social life in a way that we don’t attend churches, Mosques, parties, or even clubbing. We don’t go out again to see movies, watch football games, wrestling, and sightseeing. No more birthday parties, Child dedications. It’s really hard for us this period but together we can defeat this deadly disease.
Since the outbreak of this virus, markets are no longer what and how it used to be, lately all the markets have been ordered to close down by the FG in order to help prevent the spread of the virus and thereby making the cost of goods to go higher than the normal price.
Like they always say, prevention is better than cure. It will be better to concur with the government on this issue of quarantine which will last for just a matter of weeks and have our normal life back than to risk and lose it forever. Never forget to maintain social distancing and also wash your hands with soap and water.
